How to Block Emails on Yahoo?
We all deal with spam emails that constantly flood our inboxes. Spam is the nightmare of every email account. I think I’m speaking for everyone when I say that this is very annoying.
Bill Gates said back in 2004 that in two years the issue of spams won’t exist. Anyhow, the problem is still very persistent. It’s hard to clean an email inbox and keep it with very few advertisers that are trying to catch your attention.
Luckily, Yahoo email users can block emails with the service’s blocking function.
Let’s see how to block an email address from entering your Yahoo inbox using any internet browser on your Mac or PC.
Block emails on Yahoo Mail
Open Yahoo Mail in a web browser and log in, click the cog icon in the top- right corner, located just beneath the Home button.
Select “More settings” in the drop-down menu that opens.
Select the “Security and privacy” tab.
Click “Add” next to “Blocked addresses”
Enter the email address that you would like to block and click “Save”.
That’s it! You should see the newly – blocked email listed.
Block emails on Yahoo mobile
For all of those who were wondering how to block emails on Yahoo Mobile. Here’s how.

In the top- left corner tap the hamburger menu.
Select “Filters” under “Tools”
In the top –right corner, click the plus icon
Type the email address you want to block and choose a name for the new filter
When you’re finished, select the “Done” button.
Once you have blocked a certain sender, you will no longer receive messages sent from their email address, even if you are using Yahoo through another application, such as the WFHBox virtual workspace app.
Always remember
Blocking is definitely something that everybody needs to know how to do. However, don’t forget that spammers are skilled at finding ways into your inbox which means you are almost never 100% safe. To make yourself even safer while using Yahoo Mail you should pay attention to a couple of more things.
Even though Yahoo always scans for malware and viruses, there is still a chance that some of them haven’t been detected. So, you should never click without thinking, especially when you get a seemingly legitimate email with a link or attachment.
Sometimes spammers want to trick their victims into disclosing sensitive information to them. You should always keep your personal information to yourself.
Instead of blocking all bad senders, you can also report them directly to Yahoo and let them take action. You should always report abusive or threatening emails. With reporting, you also help to protect other Yahoo Mail users.
