BrightLocal Review
What is BrightLocal?
BrightLocal is a cloud-based marketing tool that enables small and medium-sized businesses to create local listings in various directories, track local search rankings, and conduct site audits. Agencies can use the dashboard to see how well their marketing is doing, see how well their local search visibility is performing, identify opportunities and create custom reports for their clients. Local citations can be tracked, duplicate listings and NAP issues can be tracked, and new citation sites can be found. Users can request, monitor, and display reviews using BrightLocal’s reputation manager module. Search engine optimization (SEO) reports can be used to track keyword rankings by zip code, create review-generating campaigns, and create unique links for reviews. Managers can use the platform to compare their results to their competitors by integrating the system with Google Analytics. Administrators can create reports to assess organic traffic based on geographical locations on a unified interface. Teams can use BrightLocal to create citations and find local websites. Information can also be customized with custom logos and colors and client file access permissions. BrightLocal allows businesses to use the reputation management module to track, rate, respond to customer reviews, and monitor marketing data on a centralized dashboard.
BrightLocal’s website combines all devices into a single dashboard with a clean and easy-to-use interface. It means you can keep track of your company’s (or a client’s) SEO rankings across all major search engines and for multiple locations to get a good idea of how the sites are performing and what impact, if any, the changes you’ve made have on them. You’ll be able to see what works and what doesn’t, as well as the areas where you need to improve. For local and Google Map Pack rankings, BrightLocal is the most accurate. With the map pack included, you’ll have to rethink your thinking because BrightLocal will show you your organic rankings. With this tool, you can easily track changes in rankings over time. This process can be automated to send you reports straight to your inbox every week. You can also use the rank tracking dashboard to check your rankings across multiple search engines from specific search locations, ensuring that you have the most up-to-date information from the most important areas to you or your client. It makes it easy to get a broad overview of your rankings quickly. You can also track how your competitors are doing, as you can with many of BrightLocal’s tools, allowing you to make tactical decisions that will help you get a leg up on the competition. You can see how your sites perform locally and in nearby areas by tracking rankings by location (down to the zip code). BrightLocal also has a tool that allows you to monitor the performance of your Google My Business listing as well as that of your competitors. It’s also possible to see detailed information about your and your competitors’ Google My Business listings, such as how important each one is, the number of citations per listing, and how many reviews they have, thanks to BrightLocal’s Google My Business tracking feature.
Citations are essentially business listings on sites like Yelp, Google Maps, and Yellowpages. Name, Address, and Phone (NAP) information about your company can be found in these sources. It can be extremely useful to keep track of all the sites you have or, more often, don’t have NAP information listed. The citation audits can show you if your business’s NAP information is incorrect or duplicated on these sites, both of which can significantly impact your site’s SEO performance. In addition, the audits can reveal what your competitors are up to, allowing you to ensure that your data is available in the same places as your competitors’, removing any tactical advantage they may have over you or your client. Using BrightLocal’s citation building service, you can avoid the time-consuming task of manually contacting each site to create new or correct erroneous citations. Each submission is made by hand, and you’ll be able to keep track of the changes as they happen. BrightLocal can even assist you in claiming and verifying local citations, giving you control over what information is displayed and preventing others from publishing incorrect information. It starts at $2 per site, so you can use the tools to see which areas are most important to you and then decide whether you want to do it yourself or hire BrightLocal to do it for you. Using their Aggregators submission service, you can also send your data to thousands of online business directories, mobile apps, and mapping services worldwide. It is a fantastic feature that allows you to perform a complete audit in a matter of minutes. It provides an easy-to-read summary of what your website and online presence are good at and what needs improvement. You can connect each account to Google Analytics, and the data will be pulled for easy viewing. It’s not as robust as going directly to Google Analytics. Still, it’ll give you the information you need while you’re looking at your campaign’s other aspects. Both Facebook and Twitter can be tracked as well. It is more of a tool for keeping track of your social media accounts than managing them.
