What is ChatBot?

A chatbot is a software that uses text messages to simulate human-like conversations with users. Its primary goal is to assist users by answering their questions. Pre-programmed responses, artificial intelligence, or both are used to power chatbots. A chatbot processes a user’s question and delivers a matching answer based on the applied mechanism. The keywords, in this case, are reset and ‘password.’ The answer is then provided by matching these keywords with responses stored in its database. Suppose something outside the scope of the chatbot is presented, such as a different spelling or dialect. In that case, the chatbot may not match the question with an answer. As a result, rule-based chatbots frequently ask users to rephrase their queries. When necessary, some chatbots can transfer a user to a human agent. It’s important to note that rule-based chatbots can’t learn from previous interactions. They respond based on the information they have at the time. The only way to improve a rule-based chatbot is to give more pre-programmed responses and improve its rule-based mechanisms. The limitations of rule-based chatbots, on the other hand, make them a handy tool for businesses. The simplest to train and the cheapest to build are rule-based chatbots. They are incorporated into business strategies because they aid in the automation of customer communication. Rule-based chatbots’ behavior can also be customized from A to Z. This enables businesses to provide a consistent brand experience. A chatbot is software that can freely communicate with users using artificial intelligence. AI chatbots use machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and sentiment analysis. They are far better conversationalists than their rule-based counterparts. It allows them to tailor their interactions with the user.
