What is Fitbit?

Fitbit is a business health platform that provides a highly personalized experience across the full spectrum of care to improve health and reduce costs. Fitbit is a fitness and consumer electronics company based in the United States. It makes wireless-enabled wearable technology, such as smartwatches, pedometers, and monitors for heart rate,  sleep quality, stairs climbed, and related software. Fitbit makes a variety of fitness bands, smartwatches, and accessories for tracking your steps, exercise, heart rate, weight, and other metrics. The company also offers iOS and Android mobile apps and an in-browser dashboard where you can track your progress and manually log workouts. A live internet connection is not required for Fitbit devices. It will function properly even if you take it to the most remote part of the wilderness. The data must be synced to the Fitbit web server via the parent device, which requires an internet connection. Most popular phones and tablets are compatible with the Fitbit app. Install the Fitbit app on a compatible device running one of the following operating systems: Apple iOS 13 or higher to set up and use your Fitbit products and services. Android 8.0 or higher is required.

Certain Fitbit devices allow you to control music playing on a nearby phone. You can also control music playback from apps on your watches, such as Pandora and Deezer, on the Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Sense, and Fitbit Versa series*. They are all water-resistant, have female health-tracking features, and receive notifications from your phone. Moreover, they are all compatible with Fitbit’s excellent app, as well as a large community of other Fitbit users with whom you can compete to achieve fitness goals. Turning to the greatest Fitbit for tracking your exercise and health is a good place to begin if you want to start the new year off right. Some Fitbits have advanced features that rival the best smartwatches, such as heart rate monitoring, mobile payments, app store access, color displays, and even built-in GPS and on-screen workouts. Our roundup of the greatest Fitbit deals right now can also help you save money on the one you want. The Fitbit Charge 5, a super-impressive fitness tracker in a small package, is the best Fitbit on the market. It also has many features usually reserved for Fitbit’s higher-end trackers, such as an ECG heart rate monitor. If you seek something with more features, you have come to the right place. The Fitbit Sense is one of the greatest fitness trackers and smartwatches available. It has an advanced health analysis feature, a dedicated app store, and the Alexa voice assistant.

Fitbit’s Sense smartwatch is the company’s premium model, with more advanced health and wellness features than the Versa line. The Sense can measure electrodermal activity and skin temperature, in addition to having an FDA-approved ECG sensor and blood oxygen reading. Fitbit Pay allows you to use the Fitbit Charge 4 as a contactless payment device at participating locations. Also, the Charge 4 now has Spotify controls for those who use Spotify, though you still cannot load music onto the device. The Fitbit Charge 4 not only has GPS built in — a first for Fitbit fitness trackers — but it also has a new metric called Active Zone Minutes that provides a better indicator of your overall health. The Fitbit Inspire 2 is the best Fitbit for you as an entry-level activity band. The Inspire 2 provides basic health metrics, automatic workout-tracking, and accurate sleep insights for a third of the price of the company’s smartwatches. The battery life of the Fitbit Inspire 2 is rated at ten days, making it the longest-lasting Fitbit. Because there is no GPS or music storage, you will need to work out with your phone nearby. It does, however, have Active Zone Minutes, a feature found on Fitbit’s more expensive models that track how much time and effort you spend exercising in the fat-burning, cardio, or peak heart-rate zones. The Fitbit Charge 3 was previously our top pick for the best Fitbit, but the Fitbit Charge 4, which includes GPS and a few other features, has surpassed it. However, that does not change that the Charge 3 is still a good phone, and it is now $30 cheaper than the Charge 4. The Fitbit Versa 3, the substitute for the Fitbit Versa 2, is the best Fitbit midrange smartwatch. Onboard GPS is the Versa 3’s most notable upgrade. The Versa can now (finally) track your location while exercising outside. Also welcome is a curvier, larger display. Fitbit Luxe features a color touchscreen and stainless steel casing with metallic finishes and formal, jewelry-inspired elements. It looks even better with a Fitbit partner designer brand’s “special edition” link bracelet. We wish it had GPS and contactless payments for the price, but it is still the most appealing fitness tracker we have seen in a long time. The Fitbit Versa 2 is the most appropriate Fitbit for you. The Amazon assistant is built into this second-generation Versa, allowing you to control smart home devices, look up weather and news, and much more. The Fitbit Ionic is the best Fitbit for those who want a device with all the bells and whistles, including built-in GPS and a large, colorful touchscreen. The Ionic is the only Fitbit device with GPS, onboard music storage, and mobile payments, making it the only device that allows you to leave your smartphone at home while exercising. The Fitbit Inspire is the company’s most affordable fitness tracker. However, about $30 over the Inspire HR savings are not worth the trade-offs. As you might await from its name, the Fitbit Inspire lacks a heart rate monitor, which should be standard on any fitness tracker by now. The Fitbit Alta HR is a sensible upgrade to the original Alta, monitoring heart rate and improved functionality. In a similarly slim and stylish package, sleep tracking. One of the few fitness trackers designed specifically for children is the Fitbit Ace 3. The Fitbit Ace 3 offers parental controls for their children (8 and up), similar to Garmin’s Vivofit Jr. models, and helps set health goals in a way that is appropriate for small children.
