G Suite Price

G Suite is really popular, and you’ll probably use it with your team. However, a lot of users find it a bit complicated to calculate the price of the service on their first purchase. Sometimes, people can have a hard time understanding the G Suite structure.

Don’t worry though, businesses of all sizes can afford it.

Three subscription plans

There are three types of subscriptions: basic, business, and enterprise. Each of the subscriptions shares all the basic features, and the real difference between them is in the security and management features.

With the basic package you’ll get:

  • Gmail
  • Google Drive
  • Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Google Form
  • Google Sites
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Hangouts
  • Google Currents
  • Google Keep
  • Google Vault
  • Jamboard

But, with business and enterprise you’ll also get:

Business:

  • Admin security and administration controls
  • Vault retain app
  • Endpoint management

Enterprise:

  • All of the above
  • Cloud identity premium

A notable difference between subscriptions is the admin’s ability to control storage, protect the data, prevent data loss, control access, and track user activity. Since breaches and malfunctions do happen, what you are actually buying is the insurance for your company’s data.

The Price Structure

The price structure of G suite can be a little confusing for some users. When subscribing to G suite, you need to buy separate subscriptions for each user and pay the corresponding subscription fee each month. This is how it works.

Let’s say you have a small business, for example a digital marketing agency. It has four employees including you. Since you started recently, you don’t need a lot of apps. There are a few clients you are working with, and you want to ensure communication and data sharing.

So, you buy four basic subscriptions. Since a single basic package costs $5.29, it means that you’ll have to pay $21.16 a month. Still, this doesn’t cover the topic completely, since not all businesses need the same subscriptions.

Buying the right package

Not everyone needs an enterprise subscription, but not all users are going to be satisfied with the basic one. The best thing about G Suite is that you can get what’s best for your business.

Obviously, businesses that work with a lot of data need more security. Whether it’s an IT company, or a company that holds sensitive data, those security features help a lot. Similarly, if you have a lot of correspondence with team members and clients, and you want to be able to browse them easily, the business package will also work for you.

Ultimately, you want to choose the subscription you and your teammates will be able utilize to its full potential.

Find what works for you

Assess what your company needs, and determine what subscription plan matches those needs best. Finally, integrating G suite tools with a virtual workspace app like Focos can prove very helpful in terms of organizing your work and tasks.

Spending less time and energy planning and organizing and having clear assignments will give your whole team a boost in both productivity and creativity.
